"Running Water" is a romantic novel by A. E. W. Mason. It's a story of two people that find their happiness in the Alpine mountains. The protagonist of the story Captain Hilary Chayne, is a retired army officer who has spent the prior four years of his army service on the shores of the Red Sea. There he meets Sylvia, a beautiful girl dreaming to escape from her domineering mother. Their story is not so simple, and the heroes must come through different obstacles in the background of the beautiful Alpine mountains.
