Description of the book

The famous detective, Fleming Stone, is back in the murder mystery novel "Prillilgirl". A well-known playwright is found murdered just after writing a play that is set to take his literary fame even higher. Meanwhile the wife of a famous actor is found unconscious inside a telephone booth, struck on the head with a phone book. The only clue that ties the two crimes is the set of tiny bloody fingerprints, soon revealed as Miss Prillilgirl's. In her defense, an actor comes forward with his confession as the perpetrator of the crimes. But as Stone examines the clues, he is not convinced of his guilt…
