"Christ in Flanders" is a moral tale by Honoré de Balzac in which he uncovers the low morals of society. The story was written as a part of a sequence of almost 100 novels and plays collectively entitled La Comédie humaine. The main idea of the story is the difference between the poor and the rich in such things as readiness to help others and share.
