Conceived as a children's book, but also read and reread by adults, 'Alice in Wonderland' is a brilliant novel: a fantastic and subtly satirical story, in which the masterly interweaving of linguistic inventions, reversals of meaning, logical tricks and absurd situations encourages us to look at reality from unusual points of view. In Wonderland, together with Alice and through her eyes, we meet strange creatures and, as we follow Alice on her paradoxical adventures in this subterranean dream world, we discover a metaphor for the absurdity of adult life, to finally come to the liberating conclusion that we do not always have to look for a meaning, especially if there is no meaning.
