This is a true story about an American Civil War soldier and his horse Gulnare. The soldier lay badly wounded on a battlefield when he was found by the riderless horse. It was love at first sight for them both and they stayed together until the war's end, coming through many a battle together. To return home when the war is over, they are put on a freight train and that is whren disaster strikes……
